The United Nations University (UNU) invites motivated graduate students and recent graduates from around the world to gain hands-on work experience on real-time projects under the supervision of UNU experts. Selected interns will work as Junior Fellows at UNU Headquarters in Tokyo from September 1, 2026 to February 26, 2027. It is a paid internship program and the application deadline is May 8, 2026.

🎯 Eligibility Criteria
— Open for all nationals worldwide.
— Students currently enrolled in a Postgraduate degree program (Master's or Postdoctoral) in fields related to UNU's work
— communication, journalism, law, economics, development, SDGs, diplomacy, or international relations.
— Those who completed their degree within two years of application can also apply.
— Must be under 32 years of age at the time of application.
— Must have no more than 5 years of work experience in related fields.
— Fluency in spoken and written English required.
— Excellent analytical and research skills.
— Must commit to full-time participation during internship dates.
— Computer literate with hands-on knowledge of MS Office.
— Must demonstrate passion to work with the United Nations.
