🎯 Eligibility Criteria
— Must be a national of a country on the OECD DAC list.
— Must be currently enrolled or employed at a recognized research institute in home country.
— Doctoral students who have not started studies more than 3 years ago can apply.
— Postdoctoral researchers who have completed their PhD degree.
— University employees such as teachers, professors, and assistant professors.
— Applicants residing in Germany for more than 15 months are NOT eligible.
— Research project must align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
— Women and candidates from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds are especially encouraged to apply.
📅 Programme Tracks
Track 1 — Preparatory and Cooperation Visits (1 to 2 Months): Joint research projects in development-related areas at recognized German research institutions. Focus on building international networks and cooperation.
Track 2 — Research Stays (2 to 6 Months): Independent research project at a leading German research institute in development areas with a clear transfer concept for home country implementation.
