Government of Azerbaijan Scholarship 2026-27
Applications are now open for the Government of Azerbaijan Scholarship 2026-27, also known as the Heydar Aliyev International Education Grant Program.
This prestigious fully funded scholarship is offered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan for international students.
It provides an excellent opportunity to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD, Medical, and Preparatory programs at top universities in Azerbaijan with full financial support.
Each year, around 100 scholarships are awarded to outstanding students worldwide.

🎯 Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a citizen of an eligible country
- Azerbaijan nationals are not eligible
- Meet age requirements:
Bachelor / Medicine: below 35 years
Master / Residency: below 40 years
PhD: below 45 years
- Bachelor / Medicine: below 35 years
- Master / Residency: below 40 years
- PhD: below 45 years
- Must have a strong academic background

- Non-Aligned Movement Countries
- Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Member States
- Countries with cultural and historical ties with Azerbaijan

📚 Degree Programs & Duration
- Bachelor’s Degree: 4–5 Years
- Master’s Degree: 1.5–2 Years

- Preparatory Course: 6 Months – 1 Year

📝 How to Apply
The application process consists of two stages:
👉 Stage 1: National Nomination
- Apply through your country’s authorized government body
- Submit required documents before local deadline
👉 Stage 2: Online Application
- Only nominated candidates can proceed
- Visit the official Azerbaijan admission portal
- Select Heydar Aliyev Program
- Choose up to 3 degree programs
- Upload documents and submit
